Helen is known for helping clients communicate more effectively, experience healing, growth, success, and freedom. She aspires to help clients adopt a more positive and empowered mindset, so they can tap into their existing strengths, skills, and resources to uncover solutions. Helen supports and guides clients in identifying what is not working, promoting their commitment to change what they can, and assisting them in accomplishing their goals. She specializes in working with individual adults and first responders in all stages of life. Her focus areas include trauma (PTSD, simple and complex), crisis, grief, stress management, depression, anxiety, and physical/sexual/emotional abuse. Helen’s treatment approaches focus primarily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. However, she is also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Currently, she offers telehealth services, allowing her clients to participate in therapy conveniently from the comfort of their homes.

Helen believes in a solid therapeutic alliance between client and clinician. An unbiased, non-judgmental relationship, combined with evidenced-based practices, can provide a new perspective that assists in experiencing hope, healing, and a clear path. Maintaining a safe environment, open communication, and welcoming feedback are cornerstones of a healthy therapeutic alliance.
